1986 johnson 85 hp

new at this. what is the best way to remove the power trim & tilt unit it is not working & i want to check it out. where & how should i store the engine any help would be appreciated

Curious..... What exactly is that PTT unit doing or not doing? Many problems can be corrected without going to all that work.
