1986 Bayliner? Painting

I am wanting to paint a 1986 Bayliner an was wondering if I could use a airless paint gun? An what all do I need an what are he steps from where it is now!

Most airless guns are not made for the type of paint that is used for painting boats and cars. You need to use either a single stage acrylic enamel or a 2 part urethane paint. The urethane paint is the better of the 2. If you have never painted a car and have no experience painting I would find something to practice on as the paint , reducer and activator are expensive 3-400.00 a gallon with reducer and activator. Use a conventional spray gun or HVLP type gun using a compressor.. Nice boat..good luck

Are you sure you need to paint? Gelcoat is pretty durable and thick and can often be wet sanded back to new looking condition. That boat looks like it would polish up to me.

Could I put the engine an out drive from that 86 Bayliner into a 96 Bayliner
