it depends upon which model bayliner. My neighbor had an old bayliner cuddy cabin and it always seemed to need something or another. Actually, another neighbor had a grady white cuddy and it always needed something or another too. Come to think of it the guy two doors down had one (proline?) and it always needed a little something. come to think of it everybody who owns a mercruiser outdrive, a cuddy, or a sailboat always seems to be fixing something or another.<br /><br />well, anyway ... I have an older trophy Center console. pretty much just a thick hull with a floor and a steering wheel in the middle. exceptionally durable boat. <br /><br /><br />the force engine is a different story. <br />with 30psi on a cylinder it not worth anything but parts and scrap. you can buy a good running pre-1991 with good compression for less than the cost of a rebuild. then you can part out the broken one for $500 if it has working tilt. The older forces and chyslers are dirt cheap to maintain and they'll run forever ... or until you do something to destroy it. which apparently, someone has already done.<br /><br />which raises the question ... if he blew up the outboard then why should you think that he maintained the hull?
