350 in great shape, have a problem getting power to the coil tho. Starter cranks, fuel sprays into the carb but there is no spark from the coil. Got new coil replaced it to no avail.
Probably need to take apart the perko switch and clean the connections at the batterries. If that doesn't work I guess I should begin tracing cables and checking them for major corrosion. I was wondering tho if I could bypass the starter by applying charge to coil just to test if the coil is sparking. Sounds sketchy but once I eliminate the perk switch and batterry connections
I will be at my limit.
I am glad the engine is sound and from friend's best estimates good looking.
The mass of poorly spliced cables running between perk and batterries is daunting but I go have some cable management experience, still not looking forward to it.
