Motor starts easily and runs great at idle. When putting into gear and start to give it throttle it starts to stall as if it was being choked.

Please Help!

Sounds like the idle mix is lean. You need to adjust the idle jets with the motor in gear, not in neutral. Not sure how many carbs you have, so it may get tricky. Could also have some problem with an obstruction in the idle circuit of the carb, or low float level causing a lean condition at idle.

Don't run it lean, you can burn up the motor.

Also in gear requires more fuel than idle to "feed" the load of the prop and all. You could have an obstruction in the fuel line. Try squeezing the bulb when you go into gear and see if that keeps it running. If so, what I said, or a new fuel pump is in order.

Mark

Tried the idle adjustment. I have two carbs. I have checked for obstructions. I will check the float height to see if it needs to be adjusted.
