This is a second repost because it has been a week and I received no responses.
I have a 75 HP 4 cyl mariner that runs really poorly the first time you start it and attempt to accelerate. I move to a place on the lake, a couple of minutes away, with motor running poorly then I shut it off and fish for a while. Most of the time the next time I start it it runs fine for the rest of the day? Not sure what the issue is. After the first or second time it always runs fine so I have been living with it. But would love it to run fine e all the time.
I have read a lot on this forum but most people run fine for 10 minutes then poorly. Mine runs poorly then fine. I have cleaned the carbs even though they appeared very clean. I also ran a can of sea foam through the last tank and that didn't make any difference either.
Had the boat out a few times since last post. I did change the plugs and as expected it had no effect. The boat still runs poorly when first started. After a while it seems to be just fine. I am really confused by this and hope someone can help.
