bought a 6hp evinrude. the book says to mix at 100:1. i'd think that would be to lean. couldn't ask the former owner what he used (deceased}. what's the correct mixture?
Nope. Use 50:1. The company changed its recommendation a number of years ago for that generation of outboards.<br /><br />You can't go wrong with 50:1. You'll have that 6hp running for a long, long time with that ratio.
