I read in one of the other posts that I can replace the VRO pump with a regular fuel pump.

Does anybody know which model # fuel pump to get?

The main gas connection to the VRO pump broke off and a new VRO pump is a little expensive. I would rather premix my gas anyways.

thanks

The last regular fuel pump on that horsepower engine was the 1983 model. The fuel pump part number was/is #438559.

They do have access to that info, it's in the parts books.

In 66 I bought A new 90hp Evinrude, run it about six-months,forgot to put oil in gas one day, melted all four pistons.Had to buy new motor.I wished they had VROs back then.but I was just dumb,I wouldnt do that now.
