That tiller has lots of spare parts, need to hold the vertical shaft control with attached lower gear, throttle the tiller and check which parts are already shot and with excessive play, install new ones in...

Hello Sea Rider this is Jeff again with the tiller handle needed info. I went out and held the vertical shaft control and rotated the throttle handle and it seems like the possible broke part may be in the handle itself. Checking the parts list i looked up the parts in the handle and i found a friction block part and a plate throttle control that im thinking could be the problem. Just wondering if you are familiar with these parts that could potentially be the culprit in the slack in the throttle. Im going to take it apart when i get the manual for it. i found one on ebay. Thanks Jeff

Sorry Jeff, I'm not familiar with worn parts, always maintain all my motor's throttle grips well greased with marine grease. If the visible parts are OK surely it's something located under the throttle grip, tear the whole throttle system appart, clean, replace worn parts and grease well all rotating parts before installation.
