unplug the big red harness plug then jump the solenoid, and see if you have spark. you need a spark tester, and remote ignition switch to do it properly.
plug it back in an try it. if it does not work, you have a problem either in wiring harness or ignition switch, or insulation on wires inside controller. check for corroded connections.
i checked all wiring all looks good there is a two wire plug below the key and go no where it was like that when i got it also always ran rough at low speed but good at top speed
