I presume you mean the outer flywheel, held on by the 8 bolts?
If so, it is real easy. Drop the flywheel onto the hub and partially thread a couple of bolts to hold it. Remove all spark plugs.
Stick a screwdriver into the top spark plug hole and turn the flywheel until it shows top dead center.
Now remove the two flywheel bolts and turn the outer flywheel only, until the timing mark shows TDC. Now install all the flywheel bolts with some blue locktight.
Remember, the flywheel can only be put on 1 of 8 ways. So you only need to know TDC of #1 cylinder within 45*, since 360*/8 is 45*.
