1984 mariner 150 problems

I have a ruff idle and it wont run wide open like its pulling the house threw the water. But it starts fine and reves great. will run at idle but wont run over 2000 rpms. I have rebulilt the carbs, replaced the fuel lines from tank to carbs. changed control boxs still dose the same thing. im lost please help

Trigger, stator or switchboxes most likely.

You will need a DVA adapter and a good voltmeter to test each of these items.

Also you will need a manual for your engine to tell ya how to test them.
