Hi guys. just bought a little project boat for me and the wife to enjoy quiet time on the lake. The boat is a 17 ft tri-hull bass boat from Lash. (never heard of them so any info people might have on where the coast guard rating plate and things might be any input would also be appreciated) My wife and I have decided we dont like the color scheme and the seats are terrible so we want to re-finish the boat. What paint first of all do you guys recommend for a fiberglass paint job on a budget? Have somewhat chosen our colors i think we are going with a red hull and white top side w/grey carpet. The red MAY change to a navy dont know yet for sure. Have to also go in and do away with some of the un-needed wiring birds nest from the former owner's wiring job. He didnt do bad but nothing has been run through a fuse or circuit breaker block. Anyhow any input or time saving advice is MUCH appreciated especially if it helps the budget! Thanks and happy fishing.

Are you suggesting the rustoleum for just the top side or are you sying it can be used for hull as well? If it can be used for the hull does it need a clear coat for a protector? What kind of longevity canI expect out of it as a hull paint if it can be used? mean if its something I ill have to reapply yearly or every other year I may as well invest the xtra cash for something such as interlux. not doubting you just need more info.thanks
