I have a Medallion Tach that was originally installed in a 1987 Rajun Cajun Bass boat. I have recently been having voltage reg problems and have seem to have gotten them corrected. Problem is, on the back of the tach, the rotary switch, is numbered 1-4. I have learned that 4 makes the take peg out at idle, but 1-3 just makes it read different. This is a Medallion 3150 Tach that was original equipment on 1987 Cajun boats. Can anyone please help with this.

Chuck

Any numbers on the back of the tach?

I believe it should be set to # 6.

It is a Medallion 3150 Tach. The adjustment rotary switch is numbered #1, #2, #3, and #4 Setting #4 makes the tach peg out at Idle. settings #1 thru #3 just make the tach read higher or lower. Not sure which is the correct setting. I have been unable to locate any instuctions as to which pole setting this tach should be set on. All newer tachs have the actual poles labeled on the back of them, this one does not.

Chuck
