Hi all my name is John im 31 years young .. I have recently recived a 1984 16' Bayliner Capri as a gift .. Happiest day of my life 
.. having wanted a boat for years im like a little kid in the candy store .. Come to find out the boat is not in very god shape .. A little about the boat previous owner purchased new and come to find out doesnt like lake water at all .. kinda odd but ok .. from what she say's she maybe took the boat out a total of a dozen time's .. But im not sure .. Anyway's my first inspection of the boat was not to bad a walk through wow almost fell through the floor a few time's so im thinking new flooring not to bad soo aired up the tires took her home im soo happy i got a boat .. Soo get her home and upon further inspection umm another wow transom is totally rotted out the wood was shot Well ive never done fiberglass work before so im not sure if ive gotten in a little over my head .. Now on to the motor 1984 85hp force im guessing that was standered that year and from the paper work and what prv owner says the motor was completely rebuilt used once and sat .. Before pulling the motor i did happen to hook up a battery and some muffs and it cranked right up im hopping the motor is ok but it has been sitting for 7 years so we will see .. So i started pulling seat's ,flooring, transom,8000 trash bag's full of wet foam.. well pretty much everything and i havent found a single piece of wood yet that's not completely rotten out and now am pretty much down to the hull have a little grinder work left and some of this and that before the rebuild im getting excited now.. this of coarse is a ski boat and i am a fisherman so am thinking about maybe turning into a center console but not sure however will be gearing the boat with the fisherman in mind .. will keep all posted on progress with pic's any help / advice would be grealty apprecited.....
