1984 50 2 stroke with no spark

i had the motor running... I was out on the lake last weekend driving across the water and my motor stopped running... when I got back home and looked over the motor I noticed I had no spark to any of the plugs so does anyone have an idea what could be wrong and how to find the problem.. thanks

Have you made sure kill switch is in run position. I'd start there. If that's good most likely its either the stator, trigger, or switchbox. Could be ignition. Try disconnecting the black with yellow wire from switchbox and see if spark return's

Ok I took the wire off and still no spark and I have put a new ignition on it

It is cranking over just no spark? Do you have a multimeter. If so go to the cdi website they have a trouble shooting PDF of how to test the ignition components ie. Stator, trigger.
