1983 Performance Laser 2 bass boat

I recently purchased a 1983 Performance Laser 2 bass boat. The previous owner did not have any book information on the boat with all of its options. I'm looking for that info. I've looked up Performance boats and all I've found is the racing boat website. Is this company still in business? The boat is in mint condition and I want to learn all of its options and be able to keep it in great shape. Here is my facebook link to pix. Thanks if you can help.

Welcome to iboats.

Hosting a picture on FB is not a good idea since many people do not hav an account to see them. We like to use photobucket and keep the photos at 640 x 480 for size

Hull Identification Number is stamped or cast into your hull on the transom Write it down..... the first three letters are the manufacturer code and the last two digits are the year of build. Take the first three letters (which are called the MIC) and look them up here http://www.uscgboating.org/recalls/mic1.aspx

That will lead you to company information and when they were in business.

I doubt you will EVER find out about options unless you are lucky enough to find a brochure for that year.
