I have a 83 75 hp chrysler 758H3F. it has the motorola ignition and I was wondering what the options are for a tach. I was told a universal tach for 12 pole will work and also was told that I need a 20 pole(mentioned that the 20 pole is prestolite) so now thorough confusion reigns.........is the pole's just the number of wire wrapped 'nubs' on the end of the stator and is this all I need to worry about not the 'type' of ignition? thanks
