This is a Chrysler 7.5 horsepower motor, 1983, model number 72H3F i picked up for $50. The manual recoil starter just spins around and around, the rope isnt on it anymore. Im guessing when the rope broke all hell broke loose with it and it unsprung itself and broke something. When Im playing around with the starter, the gear that engages the flywheel seems to move up normally and engage like its supposed to, so that parts not broke. I see an exploded view of this thing and its kind of intimidating. Where should I start? What should I replace first?
