I've been given another boat project. Its a 1982 boat with a v8 inboard. I think its a gm 305 block but it could be a 350. Its in a 18' run-about by Ozark. Well, it belongs to a friend that my father fished with for years. It has not been in the water for 7+ years and all I know about it is that it over-heated on last use. 3 or 4 people have wrenched on it since, but nobody had any luck. Its been stored in a garage since.
Its a mission of mercy. I it looks like its mostly there. The lower half of the lower unit is removed. The heads, covers, manifolds etc are there an attached but lots of hoses are off, linkage removed, and wiring seems to be sparse. The carb looks like it's corroded and chaulky white from over use of cleaners.
My question is what is the best book to buy that would cover this engine and how it was set up at one time? I'm sure I'll have other questions later
