1982 johnson oil behind prop

i have a 1982 johnson 175 noticed oil on the ground under the prop took the prop off and noticed that there was about 4 ozs. of lu oil in the cavity but the seals around the prop shaft look dry what should i do

is this oil from lower unit or oil from engine. if from engine, black and greasy, i woudnt worry too much, its unburnt exhaust from being run out of the water, like on muffs or sumthing.. if your sure its lower unit lube, your probbably gonna have to drop the lower unit and take it apart.. sorry

yes it is lower unit oil already took out the bearing housing dont know if it could be the o-ring on the back of the housing or maybe something else
