1982 Evinrude throttle linkage problem...

:facepalm: well, my dad doesnt trust me with tools for a reason I guess. Here is my problem, I adjusted the throttle linkage to fit and move smoothly with my throttle WOT all the way to reverse. Put the nut on the bolt comming out of the cable snug it down, and made one too ft/lbs on it and broke the thread and bolt only a nub remains. I checked on the back end of it, it appears to be a flush pin with a threaded end for the throttle cable to mount to. What would be the process of getting that broken pin out ? What would I call that part to get a new one or would a bolt/washer/sleeve/throttle cable/ bolt work? Seems to be I shouldnt work on things on holidays. thanks, Walter.

My dad just pulled the whole part off, and tapped the broken bolt out. We are on the right track, went to the parts house and were closed today, good for the employees and the business for putting family first. I guess I will have to wait till then. Thanks for your response.
