trying to locate kill switch that is the push button type on the end of the steering handle. Steering handle is not listed on any schematics I’ve located. Any help would be appreciated. Thx

Racerone I went to marine engine and I looked on shop 2 Evinrude. Did not show the steering handle. I just need the push button on the end. Can you share the site? Thank you?

My apologies for being a dumb arse. When I’ve looked up other motors they typically have a steering handle link, I completely overlooked the exhaust housing.

fyi its part # 392968. its such a simple switch, you could easily repair yours if possible, or get a cheap replacement aftermarket for $10. just grounds out the ignition simple as wrapping 2 leads together.

0392968 was original part # ----But that is shown as NLA today !!
iBoats seem to list an alternative part

Part # 0583975

Marine Engine list the same part.
Boats . net still list the original as "in stock"

But what a price for a simple switch

Yes!! Very pricey. And I really just need the rubber piece in the end of the handle. The rubber is deteriorated.

Can the rubber be revived by spraying with silicone spray over a period of several days? Or is it "too far gone"?
