1982 Evinrude 60 horsepower outboard

When at Full Throttle my motor pulls hard right could you please explain if the little fin has to be adjusted and how that is done above the prop

I think on my 75 50 horse you just loosen the bolt holding it on and twist the trim tab as needed.

Thanks pusher when I was checking the lower unit fin above the prop I noticed a small fitting coming down from that nut and found it to be a socket left on there by the previous owner thought that might also be a problem causing the pull to the right what do you think

Holy cow, that socket must have really been on there!

I'm not much of a mechanic but my guess is the last guy tried adjusting the trim before you and never got around to finishing. Maybe kick it over a couple degrees and pull the socket off.
