1982 Evinrude 15 HP Won't run at High Speed Need Help!

My 82 was running good and now I don't have any top end. Motor idles great but bogs down when I give it the gas. Upon inspection, I found 1 of the carb nuts is gone. Could this be the cause of the problem? I also inspected the bowl and it's clean as a whistle. Any clues?

Replace the carb nut and see what happens; it certainly could cause your problem by sucking air at the wrong place. Good luck
