1982 90hp evinrude tell tail problems

So I noticed the last time I was running my boat that my tell tail was not spraying any water...this may have nothing to do with it but it was right after I got it stuck in the mud and it actually stalled the motor. Im wondering if I might have clogged up the tube or burnt out the pump? Does anybody know how to check for these things and if its a pump problem how much does a new one cost?

Run some weed eater line up through the tell-tale and see if it clears it. If not, your water pump may not be pumping correctly, and you may need to drop your LU to investigate. Is the motor overheating? Can you leave your hand on the head for about 3 seconds when at temp?

If you have not replaced the impeller for a while then now is a good time. Flush the cooling system out while you have it apart.
