Float needle is shot, and it appears it's discontinued and obsolete everywhere, any suggestions? Does this guy just need a new carb?

I literally just went through this. You are SOL unless you find a person with a carb they want to part with. I was unable to locate one any where. The repair kit does not come with needle and seat either.

I was lucky enough to get two carbs off of craigslist from a local for a very fair price.
