And of course I had to cut those brackets out of the fender since they were welded on the inside. Now I have to buy another fender but I can't find the same style and size so I'll have to buy 2 more. Good ting they are on sale for 24.99 starting Tuesday.
Oh, the weather took a turn for the worse as well so no paint in the near future. It was 17 celcius yesterday and today it is 3 degrees, awesome. I really need to get heat that I can leave running in this hangar.

Almost forgot, I dropped some coin and got 2 brand new 27 group batteries.

Trailer work is always the first thing I get out of the way otherwise I don't think I would ever get it done... I like it that much

I feel for ya with the cold weather, our winter has let go here just over the 49th and the past 2 days it's been 70f :joyous:

I popped on a couple of those gp27s for my TM set up last month, yipes that hurts especially if you don't have a core

"yipes that hurts especially if you don't have a core" yes and of course I didn't.

I do wish I would have done the trailer when I originally had the boat off, it's just painful now. Especially since I just want to get going on the boat.

Just gone through yr makeover Candutch. We've done pretty similar additions and are at very similar stages in our projects. I'll be tagging along mate. Keep up the great work!

Thanks AH, had a look at yours as well, nice job! They are very similar, check out this pic of my front deck.
Thanks for visiting my redo. What are yr plans for the bow compartment hatches? Mine are similarly shaped and spar/sealed but I haven't covered them yet, I'll be doing so with the nautilex to match the deck. I bought a good supply of SS piano hinges of different widths, so I'll be hinging them on after to complete the look.
I've been laid up for 1+ week waiting [and still waiting] for delivery of my AL to start fabbing the rear deck. Should be in soon I hope. I'm attempting a live well instal as my Holi didn't have one....so I'm eager to see the brown truck at my door. Keep up the great work mate!

Plans are to cover them in nautolex as well but first I have to trim them down a bit to allow for the excess width. Im just using regular stainless strap hinges. No live well in my boat as the laws don't allow for it here and if I'm keeping it I kill it and put it on ice anyway

An in deck fish cooler with a drain would be a great way to free up deck space.

Well I made the mistake of totalling up absolutely every cent I have spent on the resto up to this point😲! I really should have waited, now I'm gonna start cheaping out. All I can say is I really hope there are no unforseen issues with the motor or I'll have an awful expensive raft. I think I will keep this from the admiral for now.

I tracked expenses for a while. I stopped when it hit a certain point. I forget what that point was :p So yeah, don't do that. Go price what a new equivalent boat would cost and it'll make you feel better.

Oh I know what the new ones cost and I'm wayyy under that. I only tracked the expenses and work so I can get an appraisal for insurance purposes. Otherwise they only value it as an 81vintage boat.

I have agreed value policies on both mine from Progressive and there was no appraisal required. I have $7k on the Starcraft and $20k on the Hydra-Sports.

Thanks ezmobee, I didn't know such a thing existed, will have to look into that. I know a guy that does appraisals on restored vehicles so he advised me to keep track of everything spent and what was replaced as it comes into play in the appraisal. If I agreed upon 7 grand with my insurance company it wouldn't cover the loss. However, my total does include all new electronics, tackle trays, rod holders, Downriggers, kicker motor and convertible top. Just like the total packages you see on those 18 foot tracker boats for 50 grand. I will admit though that my ss is nowhere near as nice or well put together as those flashy new boats, I wish it was.

I think it's just as nice and definitely as well put together, you've done a great on your fabrication and modifications.
