Hello I just picked up an 81 Islander 22ft V5 outboard project boat. I was complaete and decent, but the stern corbers of the floor were rotted.. pretty cool, as it came with the original Float On dual axle aluminum trailer with TORSION springs.. and the original 1981 Johnson 150 hp Seahorse... stll running! . Its a one owner boat but it has been rebuilt once before!. I have the sister boat a 1982 22ft Holiday V5 outboard boat.. I loved it but wanted a cuddy for taking my under 10 YO grandchildren out in. But ill do much to set it up for striper fishing too. Ive ripped up the aft flooring outside the cabin and removed the motor and fuel tank.. it looks real nice in there! Getting a quote for the sand blaster to come and remove a thick layer of ablative paint!.. My question is asking what other have done to add a live well..... Ill be installing COOSA board for the transom and 1/8th" hardened aluminum sheet for flooring covered by 1/2" PVC sheets and a thin rubber floor covering..... going to try and elliminate all wood.. love to hear about the livewells... PS this is my 7th starcraft and will be my fifth"rebuild" I was in the middle of an 18ft mariner...when this islander popped up.

Hi Bob! Cant wait to see this project. Going woodless is the next level build. Unless it's leaking bad or you want something modified, no rebuilds needed.
