1981 70 Johnson. How to manually raise motor...

Hello,. I have an '81 70 hp with time and trim that doesn't work. How do I manually raise the motor? Thanks.IMG_20240519_163424.jpg

That is not TRIM.----Just electric tilt for docking , slow speed running.----There should be a release valve under the motor / pump assembly.----Lucky you if you can turn it to release and raise the motor?

Spray it with whatever your corrosion breaker is and heat it with a hair dryer.

Use a hand impact screw driver to brake it free.

The decal seems to be from that era.----But post the model number.----And where is the thrust pin?

On the opposite side of the motor the motor thier should be a stainless slotted screw for a flathead screw driver that you can turn left that will allow the cyclinder to bypass the oil then you can lift the motor by hand and tighten the screw, or it will leak back down rather slowly or fast.
They can be real tight!
And use a larger enough screw driver.
That where it is on mine and several other different makevof motors.

The release on this TILT ONLY set up is right below the reservoir.----Which is right below the electric motor !!
