Welcome Bobee, thanks. Yes the center brackets I built, they are 2x3 rectangle 1/8"wall tubing, the leveling pads on the outer roller mounts are 1/2"threaded rod welded into a hole drilled in a piece of 3x3"x1/8" plate.

SPLASH
We had a splash today, remember it is only March 29 and we are in Saskatchewan Canada, absolutely beautiful morning we were on the water at 7 am +2 c. Rained and blew like crazy yesterday and then we get today. Finished the tune up, timing, carb adjustment and went for a ride. Video is uploading so you will have to settle for a picture for now. The splash went real well but we have some bad news on the motor to come.

Videos. Darcy is pretty new with an inboard/outboard and had a blast.

Will only allow video per post.

So after an hour and a half on the lake, we loaded up and went to drain the block, manifold and riser, and found oil running down the port side of the block. When we got back home tried to check where it was coming from and ended up pulling the manifold and head to find the center two pistons in real bad shape and a head gasket puking oil. The pictures don't do the piston damage justice on #2 you can see the whole width of the top ring into the land on the piston.

So now we are looking for a new motor, hard to believe the condition considering the way it was running.

The ole cast iron lump is one tough hombre! Seemed to be running real strong the way he was able to stab it launch.up on a plane. That's really a bummer but with your luck finding what you want, don't want or need is amazing so I have no doubt things are going to be looking up real soon.

Sorry 'bout that engine, Glen. I'm certain that you'll find an oil-tight one soon enough.

That bites! Sure sounded good in the vid. I'm sure there's an old nasty glasser waiting somewhere to give up her powertrain. Good luck on your hunt for a donor.

Wow so I found this thread tonight, must have been buried before now, but where the *beep* did you find open water in Saskatchewan?!?!?! Man this is is early, last year I snowmobiled until the end of April and Weyakwin still had ice for the May long weekend!

Anyways bad news about the motor, that's a bummer man!
