Alright so where my outboard bolts up to the boat there seems to be fiberglass cracks forming. They are not horrible now but they seem to be getting slowly worse. I was wondering that the best way is to repair this and also to prevent it from happening again. I apologize for the quality of the pictures. I could only get a decent shot of the one side however the crack on the other side is near the same condition, and same spot.

Appears to me the transom is gone. The only thing holding it all together is the glass itself. Without any internal structure it will happen every time.
Be careful using it !!!

What would be the recommended way to fix this problem. Looking at it is seems it is going to take quite the amount of repair but once that is done how can I prevent that from happening again.

That transom needs help, lift up and down on the motor and see if it flexes, you may need to apply a great deal of force, but it shouldn't move at all. If you fix it, it will last a very long time, probably much longer than you will own it.

So what exactly is the best way to go about fixing this. Should I patch the areas or basically start over with the transom. Obviously I don't have the experience so a body shop would be doing the work, however I would like to find some way to create added support back there

On an older boat like mine , the top or cap of the transom would be cut off, the rotted wood scraped out of the center then a mixture called seacast would be poured in . No more worries . on a nice boat like yours I'd check to see if you can separate the hull , or if therei s a removable section back there to avoid cutting too much of the topside. Do a search on "SEACAST" and "TRANSOM REPAIR" an check in with your bretherin at the Glastron forum:)
