Hello,
This Forum is being created to get help and advise regarding my newest project. I recently bought a 1980 Ebbtide Dyna-Trak 166 Bass boat, with a rebuilt 140 Evinrude. The engine runs good, so you will only see me take it off and store it till the rest of the boat is completed. My plan is to completely restore and add new modification to the 1980 design.. I am really looking forward to starting. This will be my first complete restoration project. I have owned several boats in my lifetime and did alot of repair work over the years. But, this will be my first complete restoration. Please be kind, I am starting the work right after my move into a new house with a very large detached garage. So work won't begin unit December 1 this year. The boat is completely operational right now but has alot of weak spots, and a small leak where they mounted the outboard. I will post pictures soon of where I am at for the start of this project. This includes the trailer as well. The boat is currently a brownish color and the trailer is a well rust color. The goal is to have the Trailer in Silver/grey.. and the boat to be Blue, White and Silver. And have it ready for next year. So I am giving up weekends, and vacation time this year to get it completed. I know I will run across issues I can't see yet. But, I have done the research and talked to Ebbtide. And I really think I can get it done in under 6 months. More to follow soon.. Thanks for reading...
