1980’s 90hp Tower of Power No Start

First timer posting here.
I bought a pontoon boat last year with a 1980’s 90hp T of P on it. It started up well but sputtered a bit last year before finally dying on the last trip out. I did a bunch of work to it last fall and this spring in hopes of reviving it to get out on the water with no luck!
New starter, 2 new ignition coils, new floats, spark plugs, fuel tank, primer bulb but still no luck other then a couple 5 second sputters.

My question is this: When I installed the coils back in, are they wired 1 to 6 from top to bottom along with the spark plug wires or is there another sequence?
I’m hoping to get a rebuild kit for the fuel pump (which looked good when I pulled it apart) but other than that, I am stumped. I pulled all the carbs off and sprayed them the best I could but didn’t tear them down due to a lot of the screws being partially stripped and red locktited.

Any help would be great!

Why not check the compression and see if you have spark on all 6 cylinders?
If the compression is bad, nothing else you do will fix it.
If she is not sparking on all cylinders, nothing else you do will help it to run better.

It has good compression and spark. I checked those as well. I forgot to mention it

You could have some wires mixed up.---I believe wires and switch box are clearly marked / identified.----You are pushing the key in and holding it in while cranking it over I hope.

Yes sir I am. I guess the next logical step is to rebuild the fuel pump!

Fuel pump has nothing to do with motor starting if carburetor bowls are full.

Some simple testing needs to be done.-----Usually easy to figure out why a motor won't start !

The max rules website should have a wiring diagram for your motor.

Good floats and clean carbs are a must, for the motor to run properly. Usually you replace gaskets, inlet needle and seat, and floats when cleaning the carbs. Don't forget to clean the idle restrictor tube, idle passages and main jet in each carb.

Is your choke working? Those motor are real hard to start w/o choke.

If it had good spark, why did you replace the coils?

What is the starting procedure ?----Explain in detail.----If the flywheel spins SLOW there will be no spark.----Some simple testing must be done.
