1979 Renken Runabout Mercruiser 120 HP 4 Cylinder

Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me cause I look up serial numbers on this 1979 Renken Runabout and I can't seem to find any information on the motor and drive shaft!!! IDK much about boats but the drive shaft? Last part of motor with Prop, serial # 5357241. Can't find any info on motor neither, serial # 5349030 Mercruiser 120. Also I haven't looked up hull yet but serial # RBMEM538M71. Thank you and please help me!!! Lol
Just hoping someone can't point me in the right direction...

Do you know if this is a good boat and motor? Does it have alot of problems? Guy let it sit with 20 gallons of gas and it for 1.5 years and wouldn't start. Says his mechanic gonna rebuild carb and will be good? I offered $3000 but now I'm thinking $2000 because on NADA GUIDES.

Sorry for all the replies but trying to get this all figured out... For More background it has new floor 2019 and new jumper seats 2020.

Boats like everything else, they sell for what the buyer is willing to pay. If you like it it's worth more then if ya don't

the floor is the last thing to rot

check if they simply threw the new floor over the old floor. if so, walk away.

Its called a deck-over

since the ski locker is no longer there, I am going to guess this is a deck-over

based on these two pictures, I assume its a deck-over

ski locker missing (nearly all boats from that era had a ski locker)

looks like two different layers of flooring under the carpet

Not that it matters since you passed on the boat , the hull ID you posted tells me it's a 1991 .

Thank you! Even more glad I've passed now cause I'm sure there's more hidden stuff on this boat! Just pieced together with multiple boats I guess... They seemed shifty too, drove 50 miles to see and it wouldn't start and was told they had running already, still offered $3000 if brought to Lake by me this time and decided to tell me $3300 instead of my original offer so I offered $2500 and they passed SO DID I THANKFULLY CAUSE of everyone's helpful advice here!!!
