1979 Ranger Tri Hull

Hey guys I just signed up on these forums and even before i did i searched alot and didnt find much on my 79 ranger.. I beleive it is a open bow tri hull (not too sure) it is a inboard outboard with a volvo penta aq120b. I was hoping to see some pics of one restored or mods.. another thing is if anyone knows where to get parts( I really need a accellerator pump and gasket.. Thanks I know im a newbie sorry if i re posted an old subject maybe you can point me in the right derection

Welcome to iboats!

Yes your boat is considered to be a tri-hull bowrider

That is a great engine out drive combo and we have allot of Volvo experts here.

What are your restoration plans? Any soft spots in the boat? I can see the fiberglass could afford a good polish.

nice looking boat. You'll find variations of that hull around here, but I don't know of any Ranger boats. Seems to me that a few of the tri hull molds were passed around a bit and the insides were engineered slightly different by the manufacturers that used them. Just keep your eye out, you'll see what I mean.

Beyond that, more pics of your boat will help anyone with a Ranger, you might get them to post in your thread if they've been lurking the forums trying to find one too!

My plans for the boat are to clean it up make it more sleek looking adding a wakeboard tower.. the boat is in pretty good condition has a small leak out of the accelerator pump and minor engine noises i dont really like.. Other than that im ganna paint it to match my truck, carpet, interior,minor stuff.. Got this boat for 200 the guy didnt think it ran.. Will be posting more pics soon.. Thanks for replies any help appreciated
