Couldn't raise stern d1rive so removed solonoid & replaced it. I took a picture of the wiring connections but later found that I didn't get clear pic of the lower wiring terminals. I re connected all the wires as best I could and turned on the key. When I hit the two up buttons the stern drive raised up but would not stop, even when I turned the key off. I had to disconnect the negative lead on the battery. I then rechecked all wiring and attempted to raise the unit but nothing happened period. I'm in process of testing the fuse block that is connected to the solonoid. But why would the unit raise and not stop when releasing the in button or turning off the key?

you mention 2 buttons so I`m guessing its the older single solenoid system.

I’ll compare this schematic to my wiring. It is a single with top 2 buttons for up & bottom button for down. My fuse is good. Thanks
