About a month ago, I was able to get my motor to run and had it run for about an hour (trying to work some bad gas out). Since then, I have not been able to get my motor to start. For a little bit I got a couple of clicks from the engine, but now I am not able to get that much. So as of right now, when I turn the key, I get nothing. Replaced the battery. Tried to jump the solenoid. Attached the battery directly to the starter (runs really slow when all the plugs are in, runs at a good speed when plugs are removed (I am also able to get a spark when they are removed too)). Right now I am wondering if the problem is the solenoid, the starter, or both.

I went ahead and replaced the starter. It still does the same thing. I talked to my dad about this (he's a diesel mechanic, but still knows small engines) and he is thinking that it might be either valve timing (we get spark and the starter turns the wheel just fine with no compression, but the starter struggles when the plugs are in) or that there is a plug in the exhaust (which would explain the compression issues). Any other ideas and which sounds more likely?
