I have an old 1979 Johnson 35hp outboard motor and was wondering if anyone knew of a manual i could look at online or a free on online that i could use. the modle number for the motor is 35EL79A

If you lived in Minnesota, I'd give you the manual. I sold my 1979 35hp Evinrude about a year ago.
