I have a lund sundance with a 79 dt65 that I bought a little over a year ago. I bought it cheap becuase it had no spark at the time(still doesn't). I rewound the stator on it after testing that it had infinite resistance, but what I dont understand is that the pulser and charge coils were wired as one. I wound it the same and tried.. no spark. Rewired it as two seperate coils, no spark. I guess my question is, how are the coils supposed to be wired? The wiring is a rats nest, and I have not been able to locate a service manual anywhere. If somebody could tell me how the coils are supposed to be wired, and what the wires coming out of the cdi box are supposed to go to, that would be greatly appreciated. I know that the one black grounds to the bolt it mounts to, one is for the ignition coil, two I believe go to the stator, and there is one short black one with an open stripped end, I have no idea what this does or where it should go. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this thing has been a giant headache from the start... If somebody could tell me just the essential wiring need to fire it that would be great, I can figure the rest out.
Edit: I believe this is an AC CDI ignition system, somebody please correct me if I am wrong.
