1979 115 mercury

I just got my 115 inline 6 mercury outboard running yesterday. Had to replace the trigger and rebuild the carbs. It starts right up and idles fine. I put it in gear and it will go but if i try to give it gas it falls on its face. Ive tried to adjust the carbs on it but just cant get it right any suggestions on how to dial the carbs in anyone??

could be it needs a "link and sink" done, but I can't advise you on that. Clams Camino has a good link in FAQ on the subject. It may not be advancing the spark enough or quick enough............Jerry
