1978 Seahorse parts

Much to my dismay, I need to replace the forward and reverse gears and clutch dog on my 1978 35HP Seahorse (Model 35852R). Any advice as to where I should order these parts from? I have found a few websites online but before I shell out the money I wanted to make sure there isn't a better (cheaper) place to get them. From what I've seen so far it sounds like its going to cost me $300+. I appreciate any advice.

Look on ebay and just get a lower unit, then you will have parts.

just priced out parts, and your low on the estimate, by $100=150. think i'd look for a good donor, lower.

Thanks for the advice. I found a couple lower units that might work on ebay.
