1978 Johnson 85ETLR78C tilt repair

Hi,

Need to replace the upper seals/o-rings in the two smaller cylinders in the tilt asm. How the $%&$57 do you get the cap (or end cap) loose? This is the cap with the four holes in it that looks like it takes a special tool..???

You will need a tool called a spanner wrench. Usually available at most automotive parts stores.
