1978 25HP Johnson Electric start question.

I have recently bought this electric start motor and I note that there is not a rectifier and that the stator does not have an output to feed a rectifier.
I see that a stator module came into being for this motor but I also know that a stator plate with the additional coil for the rectifier was made . I cannot find any reference to this in the drawings. Can anyone enlighten me.

Due to the age of the mtr and parts availability and $$$ for the parts, it may be cheaper just to charge the battery when needed.
