Hi Group,
I've been a Boater since I was 16 and now I am 69 years young, and still Lovin' it!
I just found this Forum and had to join in!
I have a 1977Steury 1900 CC (I .THINK') this is the correct model.
This is WHY I joined this Forum, to find out and ask questions.
Below are two photos, one of the side view of this boat, the second the Hull ID#.
- Does anyone know the differences between these models?
S - 1900
S - 1900 CC
S - 1900 CR
S - 1900 BR
S - 1900 RAB
I cannot find ANYTHING concerning the 1977 Steury Boat Models, except for a few specs and used prices.
The HULL ID # is:FGBF0092M77E
- This 'translates' into: "FGB" = Chaparral Boat Co [manufacturer], "F0092" = Boat Serial Number, "M" = Model, "77E" =Production Date [Dec. 77].
- I've been looking for a 1977 Steury Boats Catalog also, without any luck.
Would anyone have one (?) which could be color photocopied, and sent to me, for a reasonable price?
I bought my Steury in June 2019 for $850- from my boat mechanics yard, up here in Rumford Maine.
I had just moved from Connecticut ( where I lived for 60+ years) and resettled in Maine.
- This boat has a sticker on it from 'Housatonic Marina' in Stratford, CT, where I used to launch my boat from and shopped for boat parts there!
-This was very 'freaky' for me to see this sticker, being where I now live, which is 330 miles from 'Stratford, CT.
I just thought it was more than a coincidence, and rather freaky.
Does anyone have any information on this/my Steury boat?
I power it with a new 2019 Merc 90 hp 4 stroke, and I top out at 49/50 mph at WOT.
Thanks in advance!
- Great Boating to All!
'Cheers,
Irv in Maine
