I have a 1977 mfg gypsy 15 trihull I picked up for for hundred bucks used it to fish mostly only has a 25 HP evinrude on it any ways'......your all thinking it yes the transom and floor are rotted out .
Soooo I removed the cap and I'm going to replace the trasom the right way ...I am not 100percent in love with the boat and don't want spend a ton of cash I just want to fish.
The floor is soft and I'm sure the foam is soaked , how bad would it be to leave it the way it is and just sheet over it ???? I would just like to get a few more seasons out of it ...

I agree^^^ Wet foam can easily add 500# to the weight of your boat. If the foam is soaked and has been for a length of time the stringers are probably bad as well. Wet and weak stringers can compromise the structural integrity of the boat and render it unsafe.
