1977 Merc 500 Help needed

I am new to the site but love all the help that is given to others, I just bought a fishing boat which has a merc 500 on it. I can get it started with carb cleaner but wont run. I changed plugs, flushed out fuel lines and tank. I noticed that there is no fuel on the plugs after I pulled them. Im thinking I am not getting fuel to the motor. There is fuel in the line going to the carb but not sure anywhere else. Any help would be so very much appreacited. Thank you in advanced.

Clean the carb now, before you damage the engine with carb cleaner!!!
