1977 Johnson outboard 75HP

I have a 1977 75Hp Johnson (Model #75ELR77) and I have been trying to take the lower unit off but, not sure how to disconnect the shifter rod from the motor. Any Advise?

The bolt is under the lower carb. Go to shop.evinrude.com and look up your mtr. Then go to cyl and crankcase and look for part # 69.

Do you by any chance know how to get this pin out?

With a long 1/4" drive extension and a 3/8" flex socket.
