I'm a little late in finding this site, so I'm stuck playing catch-up. This project started in Feb. 2010 when I went to Branson, MO. with my girlfriend’s family. Her grandmother had passed away so we drove down to attend the funeral. In the few days we were there, her father obtained a boat.
The boat is a (1977) 17' Champion Bass Boat with a Mercury 1150 IL6 115HP. It was previously owned by my girlfriend’s grandpa, who passed away many years ago. Therefore, the boat was up for use to all of her uncles. Unfortunately, the boat was severely neglected and from what I understand, made it under water twice. Once from a major storm and once from a quick trip with no plug. :facepalm:
With newly packed trailer bearings, we towed it back to Michigan and got to work ...
I plan on posting pictures and up to date progress sometime in the next few days!
