I can cruse for an hour then the problem occurs. As I accelerate (2k rpm and up) the engine looses power and deaccelerates as I push the throttle up. So I pull bakc and It dies. I restart and re accelerate ok then happens again. I switchek fuel tank and it seemed to go away. I pulled boat from water. Reutrned another day, ok, then happes again. What ya think. 175 hp outboard, timing set by shop guys, they also cleaned cards, fuel filters are an automotive style around a 2" diamater by 2 " length. Fuel pump replaced 7 yrs ago with a 6 year storage.

When you returned another day did it fail with the original tank or the one you swapped with during the previous trip?

I am pretty sure this problem occurs only with the starboard fuel tank. I am sure the vent line is clear. The tank is 15 gal permantly mounted. If I am wrong and lets say it happens to both tanks, what could be my problem and solution. Oh, I also have a leak in my fiberglass hull, how can I repair it.

I tested th eboat again. As I very slowly throttle up, the engine hesistates and slows only when I reach a certian point. This doesn't always happen, I tried adjusting the trim to see if it has any effect. So I believe the hesitation occurs as the max advance is reached and the throttle plates begine to open more.
